Six Holland America Line ships set for Caribbean winter deployment

Six Holland America Line ships will be deployed in the Caribbean next winter including a debut in the region by newcomer Rotterdam.

The 2,668-passenger ship is to join Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Nieuw Statendam, Volendam and sailing by Zaandam.

Itineraries range from three to 14 nights in duration between October 2021 and April 2022.

All of the sailings include a call at HAL’s private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay.

The eastern, western and southern regions of the Caribbean are covered as well as sailings that spend a day at the Panama Canal.

Rotterdam kicks off its Caribbean season with three- and four-day short cruises in November from Fort Lauderdale with cruise-only rates starting at £440 and £570 based on the line’s ‘View and Verandah’ wave season offer for bookings made by February 28.

The ship is due to make its debut in the Mediterranean on August 1 following its planned delivery on July 30.
