Club Med has cancelled all ski holidays up to February 27 following an announcement from the French government that Alpine ski lifts will remain closed until that date.
The operator said guests would be contacted and said it was prioritising the health and safety of its staff and guests by pushing back its restart plans.
Estelle Giraudeau, managing director for the UK and northern Europe, said: “Following the announcement from the French government today that Alpine ski lifts will remain closed until February 27, 2021, we are cancelling all Club Med ski holidays up until that date.
“Our customer care teams are working hard to ensure all our guests who are affected are contacted in chronological date order as soon as possible.
“We’re naturally disappointed that one of our busiest weeks in the calendar for skiing is cancelled, however, the health and safety of our staff and guests is our number one priority. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to our resorts when it is safe to do so.”
