The former boss of Jarvis Hotels has taken up a non-executive directorship at boutique hotel company Malmaison.
Steve Hebborn was chief executive of Jarvis for six years until the sale of the business in 2011.
During his time at Jarvis he oversaw the restructuring of the hotel portfolio and its repositioning into the three and four star market.
Hebborn is a chartered accountant who started his career at KMPG before becoming chief financial officer of the North American arm of FirstGroup.
He is taking up the new position on the board of MWB Malmaison Holdings, the holding company for MWB’s boutique lifestyle hotel division.
Chairman Eric Sanderson said: “I look forward to working with Steve and am delighted that he has agreed to join the board of Malmaison.
“His experience in the hotel industry gained at Jarvis and in his previous positions qualify him well for this role.”
