Air Partner forges deal to expand in India

Air charter broker Air Partner has forged a partnership to launch private aviation services in India.

The London-based company is to work with a luxury lifestyle provider subsidiary of InterGlobe Enterprises (ESTD) to tap into a growing number of private aircraft users in India.

Clients will have access to the group’s commercial jets service, which charters aircraft with 20 to 500 seats.

A 24-hour flight operations team will be developed as part of the alliance.

Air Partner chief executive Mark Briffa said: “India has a large population with a rapidly expanding economy and growing global reach.

“ESTD is an ideal partner, with its strong brand, knowledge and understanding of India’s corporate and luxury travel sectors.

“This partnership gives Air Partner a great platform from which to launch services and products into a growing and lucrative marketplace.”

ESTD president and chief executive Nigel Harwood said: “With the Indian economy on a growth trajectory, there has been an increase in corporate travel needs and hence the demand for private air charter is expected to grow.”
