Thomson Cruises has recruited a new operations director from the Marine Accident and Investigation Branch.
Adrian Hibbert, who joins the line on September 3, was part of a team responsible for the review and analysis of all incidents and accidents associated with UK shipping.
Prior to his last role, he worked in the senior management team at Thomson Cruises sister company Island Cruises.
Hibbert is replacing Maurice Kennedy who has decided to leave his role as general manager of operations after 13 years.
Thomson and Island Cruises managing director Fraser Ellacott said: “I am delighted to welcome Adrian to the team, where his wealth of experience will no doubt add value to our management team here at Thomson Cruises.
“Adrian is a qualified Master and has worked across a number of businesses in the shipping sector so I am confident that he’ll bring a fresh and modern focus to our business.”
