Thomas Cook releases discounted Olympic packages

Thomas Cook has released further discounted ticket and hotel packages to the Olympic Games with 15 days to go to the opening ceremony.


The new packages bring together remaining tickets for the best events with deals on hotels, including the opening and closing Ceremonies and finals for athletics, cycling, swimming and diving.


Packages involving the equestrian finals start at £199 per person including one night at the Novotel at Heathrow.


Prices for the athletics finals lead in at £399pp including the men’s 200m semi-final, men’s 110m hurdles final and women’s 200m final based on accommodation at the Holiday Inn Brentford Lock.


Opening ceremony prices start at £1,999pp including one night at the Travelodge in Stratford.


Stephen Vaughan, managing director of Thomas Cook’s London 2012 partnership said: “This very special offer on some of our remaining Games breaks is in response to what we know our customers want – the best seats at the game with the most affordable hotels.


“These offers will not be around for long and we know they’ll sell out – the Opening Ceremony is two weeks on Friday and attention is well and truly focused on the Games as the British public now get behind Team GB.”
