Travel Counsellors invites agents to join its first corporate travel webcast

Travel Counsellors will be broadcasting its first webcast on business travel for agents, aimed at those interested in running their own corporate travel divisions as part of the company.

The live show, due to broadcast this evening (Thursday November 1), is a result of the rise in business travel professionals joining the company and the continued growth in this area.

The show, which will air at 7.30pm, will feature a number of agents on the couch who have joined Travel Counsellors from corporate travel backgrounds, where they will talk openly about their personal experiences in making the decision to run their own businesses from home.

Managing director Steve Byrne said Travel Counsellors had seen “significant growth” in this area of the business, with sales for its corporate travel division up by 24% in October compared to the previous year, and 30 new business accounts being set up in that month alone.

“Equally there has been a significant increase in new agents joining the company as business travel counsellors, who are embracing a new and truly personal way of servicing their corporate travel clients, with the freedom and flexibility of running their own business their way,” said Byrne. “Therefore we felt this was the right time to host a dedicated webcast for anyone interested in finding out more about what makes us tick and hear first-hand from agents who have made the move.”

Viewers will be able to send messages and ask the agents questions during the live show.

It will be aired from the company’s in-house studio at its head office in Lancashire, and will also be available for viewers to watch via their iPhones in order to make it more accessible to anyone who wants to tune in.
