Rail, production and electricity transmission infrastructures firm Alstom Group has renewed a contract with online business travel expense management specialist Traveldoo.
The renewal for three years follows an original contract signed in 2009.
Traveldoo Enterprise has been Alstom’s outsourced solution to cover the travel needs of its transport, power, renewable and more recently grid sectors throughout Europe.
Traveldoo deployed this solution in 15 countries in less than a year with the support of Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
This led to a high number of online transactions, which more than doubled in the second year, and a high adoption rate.
Alstom took this a step further in 2010 by deploying Traveldoo Assisted Booking to allow total control of travel spend through a single interface.
Traveldoo president Nabih El Aroussi said: “We are delighted that Alstom group have placed their trust in Traveldoo for a further three-year term.
“It rewards the distinctive qualities of Traveldoo’s product reliability and exceptional flexibility, and continuous involvement of company’s teams and management to serve our customers.”
Alstom indirect purchasing manager Marie-Christine Jonon said: “Thanks to the flexibility of the product and the availability of Traveldoo teams, Alstom was able to optimise its travel purchasing processes in Europe while retaining the ability to adapt to the demands of the different group’s businesses.
“These new processes enabled us to significantly reduce the trips’ average cost.”
