Accor Hotels has signed a deal to distribute its portfolio via US-based worldwide travel wholesaler Tourico Holidays.
The French hotel giant has introduced 400 hotels initially to Tourico Holidays’ Direct Connect programme.
A total of 1,200 properties across 92 countries are to be added within two years. This includes the Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, MGallery and ibis brands.
Direct Connect already has more than 15,000 hotels available.
Tourico global product development executive vice president Dermot Quigley said: “With a 40% growth in Europe last year, this Direct Connect partnership will solidify Tourico Holidays’ place in the European market place by providing our clients with Accor’s impressive products, promotions and translated content.”
The hotel group’s leisure and group senior sales director Steven Eidelberg added: “Accor is proud to announce this new partnership offering dynamic inventory and real-time rates and availability to Tourico Holidays’ global client base.
“Accor continues to rapidly expand across the globe, opening almost 1 hotel per day. As we grow, it is imperative to develop connectivity with our strategic partners such as Tourico Holidays.”
Tourico Holidays already has Direct Connect partnerships with Hilton Worldwide, InterContinental Hotels Group, Best Western, Choice Hotels, Caesars Entertainment, Minotel and Sandals Resorts.
