Thomson Cruises adds new winter destinations

Eilat and the Azores have been added as winter destinations by Thomson Cruises for 2013-14.

The line is offering three-night hotel stays linked to cruises starting at £60 per person and free all-inclusive upgrades on all Red Sea, Cyprus and Canary Island itineraries in an early booking push.

Cruise and Stay properties are available in Tenerife, Cyprus and Sharm el Sheikh.

They can be linked to sailing by ‘Platinum’ standard ship Thomson Celebration together with Thomson Dream, which will have been extensively refurbished to give a more modern and contemporary cruising experience.

A five-night taster fly-cruise has been introduced around the Greek islands with calls in Rhodes and Corfu.

A new eight-night Red Sea and Holy Land itinerary includes trips to Jerusalem, the Pyramids, Luxor and Sharm el Sheikh, leading in at £799pp on Thomson Majesty in December 2013 with flights from Gatwick.

This follows the line announcing the introduction of Boeing 787 Dreamliner connecting flights to Barbados on selected departures from Gatwick and Manchester from next December.

The company has added 13 new ports of call in the Caribbean for next winter.

Managing director Fraser Ellacott said: “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do – which is why next year we’re offering some exciting new ports of call, such as the Azores and Eilat.

“We’ve carefully reviewed our hotel line up too, with a great range of properties from all – inclusive Platinum hotels to budget-friendly self-catering options right on the beach.”
