Travellers warned of limited transport to Heathrow

Passengers using Heathrow on Christmas Day and Boxing Day have been warned of limited availability of links to and from central London.

Most public transport systems to and from Heathrow are closed or will be operating a “very limited” service on Christmas Day.

Heathrow Express and Connect services will not be available due to Network Rail engineering works.

Taxis will be operating at each terminal in Heathrow but queues are likely, except for pre-booked services, according to the airport.

Heathrow Express and Connect Services will not be available due to engineering works on Boxing Day.

London Underground’s scheduled reduced service may also be affected by strike action on December 26.

Travellers faced chaos reaching the airport on Friday, the busiest day of the pre-Christmas get-away, when Heathrow Express and Connect trains were cancelled from Paddington station due to equipment damage caused by a trackside fire.

Services resumed on Saturday.
