The World Tourism Forum (WTF) is offering a discount on the cost of attending its biennial conference in Lucerne to Travel Weekly readers.
The WTF brings senior travel and tourism industry figures together with academics, government ministers and non-governmental organisations to discuss industry issues and trends, with a special focus on developing a new generation of leaders.
The third biennial forum in April will include sessions on the global shift in travel and tourism markets, sustainability, job creation and marketing, and see the release of a major study on the impact of China and other rapidly developing outbound markets.
The forum in Lucerne on April 17-19 will be opened by Taleb Rifai, UN World Tourism Organisation secretary-general, and Michael Frenzel, World Travel and Tourism Council chairman and chief executive of Tui AG.
The WTF is keen is attract attendees from the UK and is offering an ‘early bird’ discount of 15% on the cost of attendance to those registering by January 18. ‘Young talents’ in the industry can attend for less than half price.
