EasyJet increases Copenhagen capacity

An early morning departure from Gatwick to Copenhagen is being introduced this summer as easyJet seeks to capture more business travellers.

The fourth daily frequency starts on May 24 with a flight at 6.55am from the Danish capital and a 7.50pm return from Gatwick.

The budget airline expects to attract 100,000 extra passengers on the route to hit 300,000.

UK director Paul Simmons said: “We are actively improving our product choice, flexibility, availability and quality to help our business passengers by offering early morning and evening flights seven days a week which are supplemented by two afternoon departures.”

The carrier has also increased the frequency of services from Gatwick to Split and Dubrovnik in Croatia as well as Nice. Copenhagen is also served from Bristol, Edinburgh and Stansted.
