Scandinavian low fares airline Norwegian saw February passenger numbers rise by 9% to 1.2 million.
This came as three Boeing 737-800s were added to the fleet as part of an expansion which will see 14 new aircraft introduced this year.
This led to capacity rising by 19% last month with the airline maintaining a load factor of 78%, the same as February last year.
Chief executive Bjørn Kjos said: “The traffic figures show that our passengers appreciate a quality product at a low price, and we have a clear goal that all our passengers will get an even better experience with our new aircraft.”
