No mystery why we were short on service

I was most amazed to find my company featured in your ‘Mystery Shopper’ article (Travel Weekly August 9).

Flight Options Limited is a tour operator specialising in sports events abroad including football, boxing and motor racing and its shop window indicates that Flight Options operates from ground floor premises in ChurtonStreet, not Church Street, which are not normally open to the public.

Due to the recent hot weather our shop door was kept open, resulting it seems in a visit from your Mystery Shopper.

Had your Mystery Shopper bothered to look at our shop window she would have seen that the only brochures on display were advertising the Monza Grand Prix, England in Poland, Scotland in Estonia and Lennox Lewis in Las Vegas plus our own Golf Options brochure.

I am still looking for our brochure racks as there have never been any at Flight Options.

Your Mystery Shopper was, as any member of the public who strays into our office, directed to a proper travel agency Kenwood Travel around the corner from our office. I suggest that your Mystery Shopper opens her eyes in future before writing misleading articles and she should be told the difference between a travel agent and a specialist direct-sell tour operator.
