ON THE MOVE

Travelsmith has announced the appointments of Daryl Glean as sales manager, Simon Haley as sales administration manager, Steve Organ as special promotions manager, Lynda George as operations manager and David May as transport manager.


Luton Airport has appointed Marcus Balmforth as commercial director. He joins from BAA where he has worked for the past five years, most recently as group specialist shop manager. Balmforth will be responsible for co-ordinating all commercial activities across the airport and development of new airline business. He will also sit on the board of London Luton Airport Operations.


GE Travel Insurances Services has appointed Simon Marston as client training manager. He previously worked for six years in Information Technolog training and for 14 years in the financial services sector.


British Airways has named Jamie Cassidy as the new commercial and strategy manager at Gatwick. He was previously general manager for the Americas. He starts his new position today.


Stephane Durand has been appointed to the newly created position of director Travel Service Partners for Amadeus, based in Madrid. Durand previously worked for Europcar for over nine years.
