Tui Travel chief executive Peter Long is to become chairman of the supervisory board of Tui’s German travel business Tui Deutschland.
Meanwhile, Tui AG chief executive Fritz Joussen has taken on the role of non-executive chairman of Tui Travel, with Tui AG operating performance director Sebastian Ebel also joining the Tui Travel board.
Joussen said: “I am very much looking forward to becoming chairman of Tui Travel. As chairman, and at the same time representing the majority owner, Tui AG, I will actively support Peter Long in further developing the Tui Travel growth strategy, and in making Tui Travel even more profitable and more cash generative for the benefit of all shareholders.”
Long will join the supervisory board of Tui Deutschland on April 1, alongside Ebel, with a view to improving the performance of the key German market.
Long will succeed former TUI AG chief executive Michael Frenzel as chairman of Tui Deutschland next year.
