Affordable Car Hire claims rise in trade sales

A 38% rise in agency sales during June is being claimed by Affordable Car Hire.

Late bookings for this summer, discounts and lower rates for the US are cited as contributory factors.

Rentals for Italy, France, Portugal and the UK have all seen a year on year rise of around 15%. Early bookings for Florida in 2014 have also helped boost sales.

The overall growth in sales is attributed to support for the trade through weekly webinar sales training, on-going marketing back-up and sales incentives for agency staff.

Agents also have the opportunity to earn up £10 of shopping vouchers with every booking in July and August.

Chief executive Angela Day said customers have also responded positively to pricing transparency when booking through the company’s  website.

“We’ve focused really hard on ensuring customers can see at a glance not only the range of products on offer, but the clear price points, supplier details and any optional extras such as our Supermaxi insurance,” she said.

“We offer a simple, three step online booking process where agents can manage their commission level.”
