SWALLOW Group has acquired the Regents Plaza Hotel in Maida Vale, London, for £36.4m.
The move is part of the group’s strategy to expand its hotel portfolio after selling off the vast bulk of its brewing and tenancybusinesses.
The purchase of the privately owned freehold on the four-star hotel gives Swallow 221 more rooms in London, doubling its current stock.
The chain’s other London property is the Swallow International in Kensington.
Swallow now has 38 predominantly four-star properties in England and Scotland with more than 5,000 rooms.
