Sandals is launching a new training course to further educate agents on its properties.
The luxury hotel chain already has a training programme which gives basic details about the ‘Sandals experience’, but the new modules will give agents an introduction to each of the Sandals resorts.
Speaking to Travel Weekly at World Travel Market, Leah Marshall, head of sales, said it was important to arm agents with everything they needed to drive sales.
“We work with more than 5,500 agents in the UK and giving them all the information they need is vital,” she said. “Our sales are going very well and we are 12% up year on year so far.
“We have had a training course which offers level 1 of our training, and this month we are launching level 2 with the plan of educating as many agents as possible before Christmas.
“The new level 2 will teach agents about the resorts and what they can expect. It will give them an extra insight into our resorts, from the butler service to the suites available and the spa.
“Our chairman is very keen on training and he is really keen to ensure the agents we work with have everything they need.”
Sandals is set to host two megafams to Grenada next year, one with Virgin Atlantic and one with British Airways.
