Legal and accountancy services offered to Advantage Travel Partnership members

Specialist legal and accountancy services are to be offered to members of the Advantage Travel Partnership.

An initial free consultation on any related issue facing their business is part of the arrangement.

For members who have a legal concern, Piper Smith Watton is offering a helpline service. Members provide details by email and a specialist at Piper Smith Watton will contact them with initial advice.

Typical examples of areas of concern could include travel regulations from data protection to Atol and Iata licensing; employment law and human resources from contracts of employment to tribunals; property from lease renewals to investment sales and purchases; corporate and commercial from company health checks to mergers and acquisitions; and private client from estate and financial planning to residential sale and purchase.

MHA MacIntyre Hudson is offering an email helpdesk service on areas including year-end accounts; employee and director taxation; payroll and VAT returns; annual TOMS calculations; approaching banks and venture capitalists for financial support; and tax recovery against research and development.

If a member’s needs extend beyond the initial consultation then the two firms will be offering their services at “competitive” consultancy rates.

Advantage finance director Noel Mansell said: “We are increasingly able to offer members a far broader range of services and consultancy advice than before.

“We are here to ensure we support our members in all aspects of their business and this type of specialist knowledge is often key to the smooth running of an organisation and total compliance with the law and industry regulations.”
