Emirates boss Clark receives knighthood

Emirates president Tim Clark has received a knighthood in the New Year’s Honours List.


Clark, who joined Emirates when it was founded in 1985, was honoured for “services to British prosperity and the aviation industry”.


The co-founders of luxury hotel review and comparison website Mr & Mrs Smith also received MBEs in the list.


Tamara Heber-Percy and James Lohan received the accolade for services to the travel industry.


There were a number of other individuals honoured for contributions to regional tourism and hospitality, and David Wright, flight data specialist with the Civil Aviation Authority, was given an MBE for services to aviation safety.
