A series of five nationwide workshops aimed at travel agents who are new to cruise or who have little cruise experience is being introduced by Clia UK & Ireland.
The ‘Kick Start Your Cruise Sales’ workshops will take place in Belfast, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and Norwich in September, October and November.
They will be supported by an online training module exclusively for those attending the workshops, with both elements forming part of the Clia UK & Ireland accreditation process.
The workshops will offer a combination of selling techniques for ocean and river cruise holidays, together with product knowledge and networking opportunities with cruise lines.
Clia UK & Ireland director Andy Harmer said: “Cruise holidays continue to grow in popularity so there’s huge potential for travel agents to increase their sales.
“These workshops are designed for those who haven’t previously sold cruise holidays, providing relevant information, techniques and ideas which can be taken back to the workplace and put into practice immediately.
“We will be joined by a variety of cruise lines ensuring delegates are familiarised with the many different holiday choices available when taking an ocean or river cruise.”
