Boutique cruise ship and safari camp specialist Sanctuary Retreats has announced Marco Rosa as its new senior vice president sales and marketing.
Rosa, who joins the Abercrombie & Kent brand from Orient-Express, is currently in Africa experiencing the brands luxury safari camps in destinations such as Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
He has already tried out the cruise product in Egypt but plans to also head to China and Myanmar, where river cruise ship Sanctuary Ananda will launch shortly, in the near future.
He added: “My first priority is to learn and experience the product and then come up with the best way to work with the trade in the UK, which is a top market for us.
“Certainly I want to strengthen that relationship especially through training because the product is complex and agents need to know all about it if they are to know which of their customers it suits.”
Sanctuary Retreats is a luxury collection of eight cruise ships and 13 boutique safari camps and lodges.
