EasyJet has announced it has struck a deal with travel management company BCD Travel that will further strengthen its presence in the European corporate travel sector.
The deal will see the budget carrier’s flights being offering through BCD’s 11,000 agents operating in 97 countries globally.
Toby Joseph, easyJet European sales director, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to sign this new partnership with BCD Travel in Europe. It’s yet another indication of the significant progress we have made developing our corporate travel services over the last couple of years.
“We look forward to welcoming many more of BCD Travel’s clients on board our aircraft.
EasyJet has been targeting the business traveller with a series of developments including offering fares through all the main GDSs. Last year it launched an Inclusive Fare for corporate passengers.
Thomas Stöckel, senior vice president of supplier relations for BCD Travel’s EMEA region, said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer our corporate clients easyJet content and to help our new airline partner expand the channels through which travellers and travel arrangers may book its service.
“We think the corporate travel space represents a great opportunity to easyJet for growing its business. And easyJet offers great value to businesses looking for low-cost options in Europe.”
