Scottish tourist dies after Benidorm balcony plunge

A tourist from Scotland is reported to have died after falling from a hotel balcony while on holiday in Spain.

Woman’s football coach Morgan Lynn (25) was on holiday with two friends when she plunged from her fifth floor hotel room in Benidorm.

Local police and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said the incident happened at 3am after the Royal Bank of Scotland worker had been out the previous night with friends before returning to the Hotel Gala Placidia.

An FCO spokesman told STV: “We are providing consular assistance to the family at this sad time.”

A family death notice said she died on February 27. Ms Lynn was living in Edinburgh and was a coach with Hibs Ladies.
