Wayne Durkin has moved from Griffin Marine Travel to become group sales director for travel management company Meon Valley Travel.
He was previously global marketing director for the marine specialist and joins Meon as it plans expansion over the next five years.
Group managing director James Beagrie said: “We are extremely excited to have Wayne on board. He has exciting plans for our commercial teams and our development into new markets, which will deliver significant growth, and we are looking forward to working with Wayne to make these plans become reality”.
Durkin said: “I have been extremely impressed by James and the other members of the management team during my time at the company so far and their strategy for the group.
“Through my initial meetings with our functional teams I have been struck by the passion and focus on customer service that exudes throughout the organisation, and I am looking forward to working with our sales and marketing experts to grow the business further and raise visibility of the Meon Valley brand over the coming years.”
