Dorsett Hospitality International opened its first hotel in London this week.
To celebrate the lobby played host to a traditional Chinese lion dance.
The group has 18 hotels in Asia spanning China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia but this Shepherds Bush property is the first in Europe.
General manager Hilary Cross said: “I am delighted to be part of this extremely exciting London hotel launch within the vibrant area.
“Dorsett Shepherds Bush offers easy access to numerous facilities and activities within the local area as well as fantastic transport links to the rest of the city.”
The hotel is set within a Grade II listed building, originally known as The Shepherds Bush Pavilion, formerly a cinema, built in 1923.
Within its seven storeys there are 317 Chinese inspired bedrooms designed with a light and modern feel, including 187 standard Dorsett rooms, and 24 suites combining the Dorsett Suite and the Dorsett Studio.
The hotel offers free wifi, a large number of interconnecting rooms and docking statons in every room.
The restaurants include Pictures which offers contemporary brasserie food and a Chinese restaurant.
The Pavilion spa has four treatment rooms, two nail stations, a steam room, sauna and infra-red sauna designed to help with sprains, strains, arthritis and pain management.
