Regent Porto Montenegro on the Adriatic coast will open its doors on Friday August 1.
Located at the heart of the Porto Montenegro the five-storey hotel will have 51 double guest rooms and 35 suites and residences and an indoor pool Regent Spa.
Inspired by Renaissance Venice, hotel design specialist ReardonSmith Architects have incorporated Italian palazzo influences mixed with strong nautical and local architectural references into the terracotta-roofed Regent Porto Montenegro.
The rooms have views of Boka Bay and marina and the mountains of Montenegro.
The Regent Residence has three king-size bedrooms, four bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining and living rooms, a study and a private outdoor Jacuzzi.
The hotel will have four dining options. The Dining Room will focus on Mediterranean flavour with à la carte dishes created from local, seasonal ingredients;
The Gourmet Corner is a quintessential patisserie and deli; and a lighter menu is available at the seafront Italian Garden, which is surrounded by water.
The Library Bar has an open fire and an outdoor terrace with stunning sunset views in summer and an extensive menu of Premier Cru and Grand Cru Champagnes, cognacs and fine whiskies. Guests can also enjoy Regent’s signature Afternoon Tea and then Mediterranean- and Asian-inspired tapas at sundown.
The Regent Spa has therapy treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge, an indoor vitality pool, a hammam, sauna, steam room, well-equipped fitness centre, and a juice bar for refreshments.
The first-floor 20-metre pool has views across the Marina, and hotel guests have exclusive access to the Lido, a waterside pool and sun deck bar area located a short stroll away in the marina.
For ultimate privacy, the hotel concierge can organise a private speedboat transfer to a secluded beach accessible only by boat, and solely for hotel guests.
General manager Michael Posch said: “The opening of Regent Porto Montenegro comes as the world awakens to the seductive charms of Montenegro: the magnificent and unspoiled natural environment, the abundance of historical sites, and the perfect sailing conditions. Our hotel will enable discerning guests from around the world to discover Montenegro in style, complemented by the beauty of Boka Bay.”
The hotel is five minutes from Tivat airport and 60 minutes from Dubrovnik or Podgorica airports by car although helicopter transfers are available.
