British Airways is returning to Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands for the first time in 10 years with a service from Gatwick.
Twice-weekly flights from Gatwick will operate year-round from December 13 with one-way fares starting at £69.
The service will be operated by Airbus A319 and A320 short-haul aircraft, which BA recently announced would be receiving a new-look cabin and seats.
The airline already runs flights to the Canary Islands, with services to Lanzarote twice a week and Tenerife seven times a week.
BA commercial director for Gatwick Colm Lacy said: “We are pleased to be adding Fuerteventura to our network. The Canary Islands are proving increasingly popular with our customers, especially during the winter months, when the islands are still seeing average temperatures of 21 degrees, even over the December period.”
