Hays Travel and Bath Travel’s cruise director has left the company.
Dawn Jordan has worked for Bath Travel for 19 years and has been the company’s cruise director for the past 10 years. Her role grew when Hays Travel acquired Bath Travel in 2013 and she became director for the entire group. Her deputy, Della Avis-Harries, will now take on the role of cruise director.
John Hays, managing director of Hays Travel, said: “Dawn is retiring and we are sad to see her go.
“She has done a great job as cruise director and she was the driving force behind Bath winning Cruise Agent of the Year so many times [at the Agent Achievement Awards]. She is well thought of and much loved in the industry – she has been great for the business.
“I think she’s looking forward to enjoying some time with her family.”
Jordan said: “My 19 years at the helm at Bath Travel Cruise has been a wonderfully successful and enjoyable journey through the dedication of my fantastic team and all of our trading partners. I thank them all.”
Next month Hays is inviting Stephen Bath, former owner of Bath Travel, and his family to attend a dinner to mark Jordan’s time with the company.
