At least 13 injured after New York tourist buses collide

At least 13 people were injured as two double-decker tourist buses crashed near New York’s Times Square.

The accident occurred around 47th Street and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan on Tuesday afternoon.

City officials said at least eight people were treated at the scene, including several bus passengers, Sky News reported.

None of the injuries was life-threatening.

It was not immediately clear what caused the accident near the TKTS discount Broadway tickets booth and the Hershey’s Chocolate World store.

Police shut down a stretch of Seventh Avenue as crews worked to clean up the crash site.

An image posted by the New York City Fire Department on Twitter showed one of the buses sustained significant damage to its front end.

The second bus appears to have come to a stop after colliding with the other coach.
