Neil Herbert leaves Bicester Village parent Value Retail

Neil Herbert has left his role as head of global partnerships at Value Retail after four and a half years.

Herbert is well-known in the trade having previously held roles at a range of travel companies including Holiday Taxis, Holiday Extras, Mobiletrails and Comtec, as well as being a board director at the Institute of Travel and Tourism for five years.

He left Value Retail, which operates outlet shopping villages, including Bicester Village in the UK, on August 29.

He said: “It was a mutual decision. It seemed the right time for me to take a break. I had done what I set out to do and there were some changes happening in the business, with a different direction. When I started at Value Retail we had around four partnerships and now there are 40 globally.”

Herbert said he is now exploring his options but hopes to get another job in the travel industry in the near future.
