Holiday prices are spiralling off the planet

Has our industry gone completely insane? This week I have come across two laughable examples.

Firstly, a Sovereign holiday to Lanzarote quoted at £1,140 for one person travelling from Manchester for 14 nights in October – the same holiday with WhitehallLeisure was £599. Guess which holiday the client booked?

Secondly, a First Choice holiday to Majorca in August was listed at £345 for seven nights. This three suns half-board holiday added £160, yes £160 flight supplement from Manchester.

Do we want to sell holidays or shock our clients, driving them to direct sell methods like the Internet?

Ah well, I think it’s time to retire – or move to a more realistic, sane planet.
