THE Institute of Travel and Tourism row that ended in members storming out of a meeting in April has erupted again after its chairman was accused of undemocratic behaviour.
Member Brian Cooke has written a letter to chair Carol Dray accusing her of trying to introduce changes to the Institute’s house rules without proper consultation and railroading members into agreeing them.
But Dray denies the charges and says the new rules have been explained at least twice before.
Meanwhile, an industrial tribunal has delayed its decision on a case of racial discrimination against ITT chief executive Linda Gibson (Travel Weekly June 5)
Bedford Industrial Tribunal has requested more time to consider the evidence and witness statements. The decision is expected in the next few weeks.
