Scenic Tours to offer Mekong sailings in 2016

Scenic Tours will introduce a new product on the Mekong River with five itineraries through Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Laos.

The itineraries will be offered on new all-balcony, 34-cabin ship, the Scenic Sprit, which will launch in January 2016.

The ship will have three types of staterooms – deluxe suites, grand deluxe suites and royal panorama suites.

Itineraries will range from 15 days in length to 29 days. Options include the Treasures of the Mekong Cruise between Ho Chi Minh City and Siem Reap or vice versa, the Essence of Vietnam, Cambodia and Mekong sailing from Hanoi to Siem Reap.

The line will also offer a Grand Indochina and Mekong Cruise from Hanoi to Luang Prabang; a Journey along the Mekong sailing from Ho Chi Minh City to Luang Prabang and the Gems of South East Asia cruise from Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City.

Chris Townson, managing director of Scenic Tours UK, said: “By taking our award-winning, ultra-all-inclusive river cruise experience to the waters of the Mekong, we’re able to offer guests a unique holiday that combines financial peace of mind with the unrivalled luxury of our brand new Scenic Spirit ship. We believe there’s now no better way to sail these waters; we’ve got the newest ship with the best features and the most spacious cabins; our diverse itineraries are meticulously planned and cover a wealth of must see and lesser-travelled treasures, plus everything is included in the price of your cruise.”
