Low-cost carriers such as Ryanair and Debonair are also featured. Once a booking is made, the ticketing service is provided by Ian AllanTravel.

It is aiming the service at its 150,000 business subscribers.

Compuserve senior producer for travel Will Bromage said: “The site will find travel information based on a traveller’s schedule. It is ideal for the business or independent traveller.

“It is quick and simple. Within three clicks of the mouse, the traveller can find the price for his or her trip.”

TravelAgent will be accessible next month. Amadeus and Compuserve are currently working on enhancing the system so it can offer Amadeus’ corporate booking product QuickTrip, which speedsup bookings for businesstravellers.

Bromage said Compuserve had been studying the travel market for a year before approaching Amadeus to get involved in the partnership.

He said: “We have been watching what people have been doing. There is certainly an awful lot of hype about the Internet and we wanted to wait to get it right.”
