Wendy Wu Tours appoints BDM dedicated to homeworkers

Wendy Wu Tours has appointed Sarah Kewley to the newly created role of business development manager for new distribution.

The role is aimed at boosting homeworkers’ sales of the operator’s product through offering greater support and education.

Kewley will organise training and educational events across the UK, create marketing materials and develop strategic partnerships.

Wendy Wu Tours said the creation of the role and appointment are “pivotal steps in our strategy to enhance support for homeworking agents, ultimately driving sales and fostering growth”.

Gary King, head of trade sales at Wendy Wu Tours, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Sarah to Wendy Wu Tours. Her extensive experience and passion for the travel industry make her the perfect fit for this role.

“The creation of the role highlights our dedication to supporting homeworking agents. By providing specialised resources and tailored training, we aim to help these agents unlock their full potential and achieve exceptional results.”

In her previous role as regional support manager at STA, Kewley’s aims included developing business strategies and fostering client relationships, which she will look to replicate at Wendy Wu Tours.

Kewley said: “I am delighted to be part of Wendy Wu Tours and to take on this exciting new role. Homeworkers are a vital part of the travel industry, and this new position is a gamechanger for them. I am committed to providing the dedicated support and resources they need to excel.

“By understanding their unique challenges and opportunities, I aim to create a robust support system that will help them succeed. I look forward to making a significant impact and contributing to the growth of Wendy Wu Tours.”
