Two new One&Only resorts are to open on the Pacific coast of Mexico.
These will become the Kerzner brand’s second and third properties in the country after One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos.
One&Only Mandarina in Riveria Nayarit, which is 50 kilometres north of Puerto Vallarta’s airport, will have 145 villas, private residential estates, farm-to-table dining and original retail options.
Self-explanatorily named accommodation includes Ocean Cliff Villas, Tree House Villas and Mountain Villas, and all will have privacy and great views.
Facilities will include an adult pool with private cabanas and a café, a beach club, a family pool, boutiques, a spa and fitness centre, restaurants and a conference centre.
One&Only Santa Maria de Xala will be part of a 1200-hectare development 100 kilometres south of the airport. This hacienda resort will have 8 kilometres of beach front, for 75 villas and suites with private pools.
The brand wants to incorporate the region’s heritage into the resort as well as offering world-class seasonal food, a spa that utilises ancient Mexican traditions, a fitness centre and event space.
Kerzner chief executive Alan Leibman believes the two resorts, created in partnership with BK Partners, will “define ultra-luxury in the region.”
