Car rental industry veteran Tom Knopek is stepping down from Hertz.
He has been managing director, inbound North America, for the car hire company for two years and spent eight years prior to that at Dollar Thrifty.
Knopek previously spent nine years at rival Avis and leaves his current role at the end of March.
“In my time with Dollar Thrifty I was able to double our revenue, I was also able to reduce costs, an achievement I am very proud of,” he said. “As importantly I could not have done any of it but for the dedication of the people I worked with.
“But all good things must come to an end and my time has come, I have decided to call it a day and seek a new challenge.”
