Kuoni Group has sourced additional accommodation to meet the needs of participating teams in next summer’s Euro 2016 football tournament in France.
The official accommodation agency for the UEFA championship has added base camps for national football associations at the Centre de Formation of AS Saint-Etienne, the Centre National de Rugby in Marcoussis – home to the nation’s rugby teams – and Saint-Martin-de-Ré/Sainte-Marie-de-Ré on the island of Ile-de-Ré.
The official catalogue for the finals now offers 68 potential team base camps, a combination of hotels and training grounds selected from stadiums and training centres which are home to professional and amateur clubs.
The training grounds and accommodation serve 10 destinations where matches will take place: Bordeaux, Lens-Agglo, Lille-Métropole, Lyon, Marseille, Nice, Paris, Saint-Denis, Saint-Etienne and Toulouse.
Kuoni Group chief executive, Peter Meier, said: “Thanks to our local knowledge and longstanding relationships with providers, we have sought out accommodation in quiet, pleasant areas that are easy to secure and offer ideal conditions to help teams play at their best.
“All will meet the needs and expectations of each of UEFA’s 54 member associations.”
Kuoni was the official accommodation agency for Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland.
