AmaWaterways to include Colombia in Soulful Experience 2025 collection

AmaWaterways will offer four Soulful Experience itineraries in 2025, including Colombia as a destination for the first time.

Soulful Experience sailings honour Black history, traditions and heritage through tailored excursions, entertainment and experiences in international destinations “rich with African history”.

The seven-night Magic of Colombia itinerary on the new 60-guest AmaMagdalena will sail from Barranquilla to Cartagena on October 18, 2025.

There will be visits to Nueva Venecia, Santa Barbara de Ponto, Mompox, El Banco, Calamara and Cartagena, with three-night land packages available pre and or post-cruise Medellín or Panama.

There will also be performances at Carnaval in Barranquilla and tours of Cienága Pijiño and Getsemaní in Cartagena.

Prices start at £5,206 per person including return flights and overseas transfers.

There will also be itineraries in the collection sailing in Egypt, France and Portugal.

The 11-night Secrets of Egypt & The Nile voyage will sail from Cairo on AmaDahlia on May 14, 2025.

There will be stops in Edfu, Aswan, Esna, Kom Ombo and Qena, with exclusive access to the tomb of Queen Nefertari and a private lunch at the Abdeen Presidential Palace and a visit to a Nubian village.

The prices lead in at £5,999 per person with a seven-night cruise, three nights in Cairo pre-cruise, two nights post-cruise, return flights from London or Manchester and overseas transfer.

The 10-night Colours of Provence itinerary on AmaKristina (pictured in Avignon) will depart on August 21, 2025, and sail from Arles to Lyon before a three-night stay in Paris.

There will be visits to the the Blachère Foundation for African and diaspora artists, a truffle farm in Viviers, Roman ruins in Vienne and a tasting tour and jazz performance at Lyon’s Les Halles Market.

Guests can also explore Montmartre, the Monument to the Abolition of Slavery and Pantheon Square’s tribute to Josephine Baker in Paris.

Costs are from £4,964 including return flights and overseas transfers.

The 10-night Enticing Douro voyage on AmaSintra will sail on November 14, 2025.

It will include three nights in Lisbon followed by a seven-night sailing along the Douro River with exclusive Brazilian and Africa food tastings, Portuguese cuisine and port wines during two shoreside dinners at local wine estates.
