Jet2CityBreaks adds Bratislava and Malmo for winter 2024/25

Jet2CityBreaks has added Bratislava and Malmo to its range of destinations for winter 2024/25, representing Jet2’s expansion into two new countries.

Twice-weekly services will operate on Mondays and Fridays from Manchester and Birmingham to Vienna for the Bratislava trips until May 19, with the number of UK departure airports rising to nine for the Christmas market period.

Christmas market trips to Malmo will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays from Leeds Bradford and Newcastle between November 29 – December 23, with travellers flying into Copenhagen before taking the train over the Øresund Bridge linking Denmark and Sweden and arriving in Malmo.

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “Bratislava and Malmo are fantastic destinations, and we are expecting these new city and Christmas market packages with Jet2CityBreaks to be very popular with both customers and independent travel agents.”

Bratislava Christmas market trips will operate from Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle.

The two new destinations mean Jet2CityBreaks will serve a total of 10 city break destinations this winter, as well as 10 Christmas market favourites.

The city break destinations are Athens, Barcelona, Bratislava, Budapest, Krakow, Paris, Prague, Rome, Vienna and Venice, while the Christmas market locations are Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Cologne, Copenhagen, Gdansk, Krakow, Malmo, Prague and Vienna.

Heapy added: “We are always listening and reacting to feedback from holidaymakers, and this latest expansion of our Cities and Christmas Markets programmes for this winter is just another example of that.

“With the addition of Malmo and Bratislava to our already huge winter programmes, customers are spoiled for choice when it comes to discovering a new city or experiencing a European Christmas market this season.”
