EasyJet and easyJet holidays have received menopause friendly accreditation, recognising their efforts to provide support for staff affected by menopause.
EasyJet is the first airline, while easyJet holidays is one of the first holiday companies, to achieve the recognition following a thorough assessment.
Both the airline and holiday company were assessed by an independent panel which looked for evidence that demonstrated their work and effectiveness in five key areas: culture, policies and practices, training, engagement and the working environment.
The accreditation recognises the airline and in-house operator’s strategy to foster an inclusive culture and provide meaningful support for colleagues impacted by perimenopause and menopause – both those who find it challenging to manage their menopause symptoms in the workplace and those who want to handle sensitive conversations with care.
The accreditation was established by Henpicked: Menopause in the Workplace, leaders in providing menopause support for organisations from line manager training and access to menopause specialists, as well as e-learning and policy support.
The sister brands implemented a number of programmes and activities on the route to accreditation including dedicated menopause campaigns and events, training for colleagues and managers and a central hub with resources and guides.
They also put a focus on workplace environments with a facilities audit and refurbishment of spaces.
