Vietnam has dropped its visa fee for British tourists.

Travellers staying for less than 15 days – from the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain – will not have to apply for a visa to travel between July 1 and June 30 next year.

Asia specialist Wendy Wu Tours welcomed the announcement, made at the Mekong Tourism Forum.

Managing director Laurence Hicks said: “Bookings are up year-on-year for Vietnam, underlining the demand for travel to this incredibly beautiful and vibrant country.”

To celebrate the news, Wendy Wu has announced it is offering a free two-night Cambodia trip with any fully-inclusive Vietnam tour, including flights.
