Delta Air Lines regional sales manager Nadia Clinton is to step down from her role after almost 30 years with the US carrier.
Clinton has worked for Delta since November 1995, joining as country manager for the UK and Ireland and becoming regional sales manager for the region in 2019.
She will leave on January 31, with her duties handled on an interim basis by general manager – JV home markets, Clare Black.
In addition to her role with Delta, Clinton has also served as a board member of airline association BAR UK and the Visit USA Association UK.
Clinton said: “After 30 years of service, it is with mixed feelings that I share the news of my retirement from Delta Air Lines at the end of this month.
“It has been an unbelievably rewarding career for me. I led the Delta UK sales team through many transformational changes, an incredible network expansion, and worked tirelessly to cement Delta’s amazing brand in the UK and Irish markets.
“I’m grateful for the support I’ve received from mentors, colleagues, peers, suppliers and industry partners throughout my journey at Delta. I want to take a moment to thank all of you for making my career an amazing experience. I’m grateful for the friendships I made along the way.
“My passion for our industry will never fade. I will be keeping an eye on the news.”
Clinton added she would be taking some time off to “travel and recharge my batteries”.
A Delta spokesperson said: “We would like to thank Nadia for all her hard work and contributions over the years and we wish her all the very best and much happiness in this next stage in her life.”
