Economics and communication experts to speak at Advantage conference

The Advantage Travel Partnership has announced an economics expert and communication consultant as two of the keynote speakers for its conference in Malta.

Mehreen Khan (pictured left), economics editor of The Times, and Sarah Blumenau, communication practitioner and ambassador for the charity ADHD UK, will be at the event (May 13-16).

Previously, Khan was the Brussels correspondent for the Financial Times reporting on Brexit, the eurozone and Europe’s climate policies.

She regularly contributes to the BBC and Times Radio segments on economic affairs.

For the conference, she will lead the opening keynote speaker session on ‘The Economic Journey – Reimagined’ sharing key insights on the governmental changes within the UK, Europe and US.

Khan will discuss the forecast for the global economy and join a panel discussion with industry leaders, plus smaller Q&A sessions with members offering further guidance.

Blumenau (right) supports clients in all aspects of their communication and leadership, with clients from the likes of Google, Apple, Amazon, The Guardian and the Financial Times.

She discusses neurodiversity, business benefits of inclusion and personal and organisational communication.

In her keynote, she will promote the business case for adopting accessible travel practices and will share personal stories of her own experience working and travelling as a neurodivergent professional.

She will offer agents suggestions on changes needed to ensure travel is accessible for as many customers as possible.

Furthermore, she will lead a ‘Presence Masterclass’ of four workshops providing skills to enhance clear, confident, and consistent communication and connection.

“Mehreen will bring an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience highlighting what political and economic changes could mean for the travel industry whilst Sarah will lean on her own experience and educated expertise.

“The speakers will help delve into strategies for navigating this changing environment and help delegates understand future opportunities.”
