Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is introducing inclusive pricing for all sailings from January 2026.
Fares from that point will include house beers, wines, spirits and draught soft drinks with lunch and dinner.
Also included will be shuttle buses when a port is more than one mile from where the ship docks; guided “social strolls” in selected ports; entertainment and enrichment activities; fitness classes; crew gratuities and port fees and taxes.
A new premium drinks package will also be offered as an optional upgrade.
Passengers who have already booked a drinks package for a cruise in 2026 will automatically be upgraded to the new option at no extra cost, according to the line.
Unveiling the change alongside details of more than 30 cruises for autumn and winter 2026, guest experience director Doug Glenwright said: “We know that cruising provides exceptional value for money when compared with many overland equivalents, but feedback from our guests told us that this wasn’t always clear.
“It’s really important to us that every cruise is relaxing and carefree, and that should start right from the moment a booking is made.
“That’s why we’ve listened to our guests, and made our pricing simpler, clearer, and more inclusive – so that guests can look ahead to exploring the world with us without worrying about extra costs.”
The new itineraries include a 71-night Mediterranean grand voyage by the ship Balmoral from Southampton on September 30, 2026, taking in Corsica, the Adriatic, Greece, the French Riviera and Amalfi Coast, including new calls into the Italian ports of Messina, Siracusa and Savona, plus Lesvos and Samos in Greece. Prices start at £7,099 per person.
An adults-only ‘captain’s mystery cruise’ has been scheduled for nine nights on Borealis from Southampton on October 16, 2026, leading in at £999pp with visits to four countries and ports not featured in any other sailing next year.
The new itineraries will be included within the company’s Freedom Fare Price Promise, which was unveiled at the end of last year.
This means that passengers who book a Freedom Fare within the first four weeks of a cruise going on sale will receive either a cabin upgrade or credit to spend on board, should an equivalent cabin on their cruise be reduced at a later date.
Booking a Freedom Fare comes with additional benefits, such as the ability to choose the cabin grade and number, dining time and table size, among others.
Head of product and innovation Martin Lister said: “We have had great fun planning our next programme of cruising, with plenty of sailings offering the chance to extend summer’s warmth as the days become shorter and darker back home.
“For those looking for a longer adventure, there’s our 71-night Grand Voyage, plus a range of shorter, destination-rich fly-cruises to the Mediterranean, taking in its beautiful scenic coastline.
“We’ve also included some particularly special sailings to both warmer and cooler climates, from the chance to witness the Geminid Meteor Shower from the vantage point of the sea, where there is less light pollution, to adventures to seek out the Northern Lights.
“Extra special for December 2026, is our ‘Fleet Fiesta’, the fourth event of its kind where our fleet come together, accompanied by a day filled with festivities on the quayside, with the Canaries’ year-round sunshine providing the perfect setting.”
