BRITISH Airways Holidays is increasing its agent training this summer in an attempt to raise awareness of its Australian and New Zealand product.
The operator introduced separate flight and ground arrangements for the first time with the launch of its Australia and New Zealand brochure last October but product controller Chris Farr estimates that as many as 90% of agents are unaware of what the brochure offers.
“The majority of agents don’t realise we can do separate flight and ground arrangements. They still think of us as offering the whole package,” she said. “Details of the training are yet to be decided but the most likely scenario is a series of workshops.”
