WIN A PLACE ON A PORTUGAL FAM TRIP
The Portuguese National Tourist Office has teamed up with Aspire to offer four places on two incredible fam trips. The two groups will explore two distinct regions of Portugal, experiencing history, culture, nature, gastronomy and some of the best hotels in the country.
The tourist board’s Antonio Padeira says: “Travel agents across the UK are a vital and valued partner for Portugal.
“We know there’s no match for first-hand experiences, which is why we have put together these luxury familiarisation trips. These four agents will see some of the best accommodation and experiences our country has to offer so that when they are talking to clients they can speak with knowledge, passion and confidence. We are very excited about showing our country to them and ensuring they have an incredible and valuable time.”
Fam trip group one
Group 1 will explore Alentejo and Centro, beginning their trip at Convento do Espinheiro, a Luxury Collection property. There they will enjoy wine-tasting, and sightseeing visits to Evora and Estremoz. Lunch will be at Mercearia Gadanha and that night agents will stay at Pousada do Crato. Here they will visit Tomar and Convento de Cristo, before a cooking and nature experiences, with horse riding in the Parque Natural das Serras de Aire e Candeeiros and at the hotel. The group will also see the
fishing villages of Nazare and Peniche and stay at Hotel Areias do Seixo.
Fam trip group two
Group 2 will be taking in Centro and Porto. On day one the group will visit Furadouro Boutique Hotel Beach & Spa, before getting a ferry to Aveiro to check in at Hotel Moliceiro. In Aveiro winners will see the fish market and historic centre before moving on to Serra da Estrela and Casa das Penhas Douradas, with a short stop at Casa da Insua where there will be some spa time. The group will head to Marialva and Casas de Couro in the morning with lunch at Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo, a luxury wine house reconstructed from an 18th-century manor house. Other stops on the trip include Pinhão, the Vintage House Hotel, Morgadio da Calçada, Provesende, Amarante, Casa da Calçada, Ponte de Lima and The Yeatman.
